the gulf of alaska pushing into northern california for tuesday and wednesday. we are seeing temperatures in the morning just in the 20s and highs in the afternoon in the low 50s , but first, we have to deal with this rain. 11:00 p.m., notice most of the rain pushing to the south in the overnight. 6:00 a.m. still rain in the east day and south bay, but things already begining to lighten up. a few scattered light showers through noon and then relatively dry conditions. then tuesday, we have another weak system coming down the coast, but most of this rain will stay offshore. still a chance for a shower tuesday. and again maybe even a thunderstorm coming through briefly. temperatures tonight and into tomorrow morning, coolest north bay, mid 40s here, definitely not as cold. same for the east bay. as we go into the afternoon, look for mid to upper 50s , low 60s for the south bay with partly to maybe even mostly sunny skies at times. and here's the 7-day around the bay. so this week will be pretty interesting. tuesday and wednesday, blustery, cool. especially in the morning. look at the inla

. national weather service issued a winter storm warning for lake tahoe area, northern california. not just tonight, but through sunday. 2-5 feet easy. snow levels down there as well. as low as 4,000 feet at times. tough traveling in the mountains. three of these things. the parent low. brings them in. as the systems roll in, they come in tonight, late, tomorrow morning, then saturday morning early and sunday all day. first two events are over night events into the morning hours. the model bears it out. at 5:00 p.m., this model updated and it slowed the progression of the system. 11:00 p.m. tonight, showers still north, right? the showers in the north bay. then it rains 4:00 a.m., the morning commute, still nothing in san jose. 6:00 a.m., scattered showers, heavy showers in santa rosa. wind advisory going on. 8:00 a.m., wet on the roads, cloudy in concord. 10:00 a.m., it breaks open. this model breaks it out. by lunchtime, scattered showers and more scattered showers into the afternoon. tonight at 10:00 p.m. i will be back and the model will update, i am sure it is because it updated there.

sitting offshore. it is making its way to northern california. i have been looking at the latest models. there is some disagreement. yesterday's models were showing widespread rain and then that would spread from north to south however, these latest models did not indicate that their future cast 4 dick's by 8:00 a.m. mostly cloudy conditions. set the clock into motion. green on your screen. this is offshore. as we set the clock into motion by 9:00 p.m.. he was a the yellow and green remains on the screen. mesolite rai for the coast linemaybe some light rain for the coast line. by the 8:00 a.m. hour we could see light rain around san jose and mountain view. it depends on where you're located. east bay interior valleys may not see any rain at all. in terms of afternoon highs 54 vallejo. 514 concord. for antioch some spots. fairfield may not even reach the fifties. 53 in hayward. the same for fremont. 52 in livermore. >> your kron 4 7 day around the bay forecast shows once the many storm is out of our hair sunny conditions. temperatures are a bit warmer. we should be dry as we enter 2013.

. one after another dumped a lot of heavy rain in northern california. a lot of power outages, too. they'll be recovering today with some dry weather in that region. then they get another storm coming in for tomorrow morning. let's talk about this fog because it's going to cause problems at the airports. getting out the door and on the roads. we're talking cleveland, detroit, chicago, milwaukee. this is the visibility. all those areas are a half mile or less, down to about a quarter mile. o'hare airport, i think we'll have problems once we really start going throughout your morning. it won't burn off probably till 10:00 or 11:00 this morning when things will recover. as far as the rest of the country goes, because it's so warm from the rockies all the way to the east coast, we've got foggy issues down along the gulf, mississippi, georgia and even the carolinas. give yourself a little extra time heading out the door. if i showed you this temperature map, you would think it was from maybe june. i mean, it's mid-60s at this hour in the morning all the way up almost to chicago. we could set
